A vintage Arita porcelain vase by Fujii Shumei (1936–2017). The oval body is adorned with an early morning landscape of Arita, painted using his well-known “leaf technique,” in which dyed natural leaves are applied to unglazed porcelain to leave delicate vein patterns.
